We have a long history with Rural Coach, initially choosing to use them because of their combined banking and agricultural backgrounds. 

In my opinion, they are highly skilled individuals who have good standing in the agricultural industry and they have a strong understanding of farming and farming families that can’t be under-estimated.

What we like about them is that they bring an independent perspective to individuals who are working for you – and they help those people to develop. This might be at an individual level or at a team level, depending on the individual circumstance they identify through their discovery process. 

Because they are independent, they can help each person develop and provide advice that is separate to you as the employer.

In terms of outcome and impact, I have seen all number of individuals develop and evolve based on the influence of Rural Coach.  

Whether this be in leadership, communication or simply personal confidence, Rural Coach have demonstrated that they can really zero in on each person and help them to focus on one need at any particular time. Over and above this, they are capable of adapting their approach to suit someone’s experience or skill set, so there service is invaluable at all levels of the organisation. 

Rural Coach reports back to us so that we can also learn and grow too. I like how they ‘walk the line’ in terms of maintaining integrity and confidentiality, but also sharing their observations and understanding where necessary, so that we can support their individual development endeavours and vice versa too.
